It is better not to use a sprinkler in the garden:
- Much of the water is lost to evaporation and is not absorbed by the plants.
- Water on the leaves can lead to disease
- Fungal spores can splash up from the soil and can disease
Best to water close to the soil or use a drip irrigation system.
