How to store Dahlia bulbs for the winter.

  1.  Dig up the tubers right after the first frost.
  2. Cut back any foliage to about 2 inches
  3. Carefully did up the clumps
  4. Remove the soil but do not wash and allow the tubers to dry for an hour.
  5. Place them in paper bags filled with dry peat moss, perlite or vermiculite.
  6. Store bags in a well-ventilated but cool place
  7. Check every few weeks for rotting, infested or dry roots and toss out
  8. For larger flowers do not divide root clumps.
